  • Teeth Whitening

    In practice or at home

    The technique involves taking impressions of your teeth and getting laboratory made, custom bleaching trays. Tooth whitening gel is then applied to the trays which are fitted to the teeth.

    The trays hold the gel on the teeth and with time the teeth lighten. The more often you apply the gel the lighter the teeth will go. 

  • Cosmetic Bonding

    What is it and why is it so popular?

    Cosmetic bonding, often called resin bonding, is when a tooth-coloured resin is bonded to your teeth, then sculpted into the proper shape. The resin is a composite of liquid acrylic and tiny particles of glass. The composite resin forms a durable, stain-resistant surface that can be polished to mimic the texture of your natural teeth.

    Composite bonding involves applying a tooth coloured composite resin material to your existing teeth. The resin is moulded by your dentist so that it creates a perfect match with your surrounding teeth. It is used across the world for whitening or masking discoloured teeth, improving cosmetic structure, filling dental gaps and repairing broken or fractured teeth. All in all, composite bonding is a perfect solution for solving minor dental imperfections.

  • Digital Smile Design (DSD)

    Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a modern approach to cosmetic dentistry that uses advanced technology to design a customized, aesthetically pleasing smile for patients. It is a process that involves taking digital images and videos of the patient’s face, mouth, and teeth, and using specialized software to create a 3D model of the patient’s smile.

    DSD allows dentists to analyze the patient’s facial and dental characteristics and create a virtual simulation of the final outcome, allowing the patient to see how their new smile will look before any treatment begins. This helps to ensure that the patient is satisfied with the end result and that the treatment plan is tailored to their specific needs and preferences.

    The DSD process may include a variety of cosmetic dental treatments, such as teeth whitening, dental bonding, porcelain veneers, dental implants, and orthodontic treatment, among others. The goal of DSD is to create a natural-looking smile that complements the patient’s facial features and enhances their overall appearance and confidence.

I finished my teeth alignment with Dr. Jasmine today. I am so excited to see my teeth neat and aligned, and everything goes smoothly where they are supposed to be. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to Sam Lockhart (supremely decent, gifted dentist), Sammy (trainee assistant who is better than most trained assistants and with a truly caring approach to her profession) and the lovely receptionist from Asturias. You chaps saved my Christmas. We never met before and we may never meet again, but this was the most positively unforgettable visit to a dental surgery I have ever had in more than sixty years. I had a very friendly chat with Louise and on the same day I met Sam Lockhart. He is an amazing dentist with a great approach to patients. He made me feel comfortable and we arranged the process of fixing my smile. During every visit I was completely informed of what the plan was and what was going on, all procedures were painless. I have been with this practice many years and have had excellent service. Being in Denplan I was given all the treatment I have needed. The only problem was in lock down due to the restrictions on dentists, but that is the fault of the Scottish Government and not the practice.

Without a doubt the best dental practice I've been to. Dr Sam Lockhart and Claire were genuinely excellent. They were aware of me being a nervous patient, they didn't rush and explained everything along the way for a tooth filling 🦷 The whole process was smooth and pain free, they first use a numbing gel, then the actual local anaesthetic so you don't get the pain of injecting the anesthetic in the first place. They were happy to play music in the room to distract me from the drilling which was really helpful. As a private practice, they can be expensive, but for someone like myself who is nervous who avoided dentists for sometime, it's worth paying to get the attention and care. Overall, I strongly recommend them.

I am so lucky to have found this practice for my Invisalign treatment, bonding, whitening, and overall dental care! Dr Sam and Nurse Claire made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during our appointments, and were very thorough in explaining the procedures to me. They were also extremely patient, kind, and helped with so many other services and dental advice unrelated to my treatment! Everyone in the reception was also very warm and welcoming, and going to the dentist became a highlight of my day. The clinic was also visibly very hygienic and professional. The end product was beautiful, and I'm very happy with my smile now!

Sam and Claire, as always, very efficient and professional but ready for a laugh 😊 Treatment options are always discussed and I know what my choices may be with my very tricky dental problems. Treatment has always been pain free. Today, I had an extra long appointment time and there was the option of choosing two items to ease my time in the chair. I chose the warm neck pad and the back massager. The neck pad was so warming, comforting and relaxing. The back massager, was doing the job but I found it noisy and distracting {perhaps not helped by my hearing aids} and I felt that I didn't want anything to be distracting Sam and Claire, especially Sam whose head was obviously quite near. 😊 I'd rather listen to the music 😊 However, others may find it useful.

This place has totally changed my mindset when it comes to going to the dentist! I can honestly say I felt ZERO pain.I am a very nervous and anxious person when it comes to the dentist, especially when it comes to needles. My dentist (Sam) and nurse (Claire) were very accommodating and respectful of my nerves and anxiety. My dentist is Dr Sam Lockhart who was assisted by a lovely nurse called Clare. My husband and I were visiting for the Military Tattoo and were leaving on a flight that evening. I woke up during the night with an awful toothache. Luckily for me I was able to be seen and had a root canal that was honestly pain free. The dentist was so knowledgeable and showed me on the X-rays how the infection was spreading. Brilliant service and excellent staff! We had to book an emergency appointment for my daughter who was having some tooth pain.
